12 Lead Course

Class Description:
This course is designed to be an interactive session to help identify infarct, injury and ischemia patterns. The course will cover A&P of the heart, a review of WPW and ventricular hypertrophies and their significance. This course will also include a significant amount of time interpreting 12 leads and will conclude with case scenarios to put it all together.

Class Objectives:
The student will demonstrate lead placement for a 12 lead ECG *identify normal 12 lead wave forms, configurations *calculate QRS axis and explain clinical significance *recognize BBB / hemi-blocks and explain clinical significance *recognize and explain clinical significance of Acute Coronary Syndromes in regards to ischemia, injury and infarct *recognize imitators of infarct patterns *develop a treatment plan for a patient suffering ACS

Intended Audience: Healthcare providers, such as nurses, paramedics, emergency medical technicians, and other allied health personnel

Student Materials: 12 Packet $12. Packet provided the first day of class.
